DNS Records Not Reflecting

Domain Administrators may configure in various ways. There may be times, where you have entered the given DNS records but you’re unable to verify using our system or a public DNS lookup tool. The most common issue people face is that they try to create records in the wrong location whereas the actual DNS zone file being used is located elsewhere.

Follow this guide to check and resolve the Domain Verification issue:

  1. You need to find out is your Domain Name using your Domain Registrar’s Name Servers or a Public DNS Service (Let’s call this Case I) or is your Domain Name using your Web Hosting Provider’s Name Servers (Let’s call this Case II).
  2. Go to https://www.whois.com/whois/ and enter your domain name. You will find out what the Name Servers are.

For Case I:

  1. Your Domain is still using the Domain Registrar’s or a Public DNS Service which means your Domain Manager only pointed necessary records like an A , CNAME or MX records to get your service up and running.
  2. Simply login to the Domain Control Panel and find DNS Editor or Advanced DNS Zone or DNS Records. Different panels may use different terminology.
  3. Create the Records we have provided and try to Verify your Domain after 4 hours and it should work just fine.

For Case II:

  1. Your Domain is using the Web Hosting Provider’s DNS file which means you need to create the necessary records in your Web Hosting Panel.
  2. Login to the WHM, cPanal or whichever Web Hosting Panel your website company has provided to you and find DNS Editor or Advanced DNS Zone or DNS Records. Different panels may use different terminology.
  3. Create the Records we have provided and try to Verify your Domain after 4 hours and it should work just fine.
